Migoto Eria

Migoto Eria is Manager Iwi Development for National Services Te Paerangi at Te Papa Tongarewa. She is an advocate for iwi Māori representation in the museum sector. She is from Ngāti Pāhauwera, Ngāti Huia, Ngāti Ruapani and her father is from Hokkaido, Japan. Her interests include promoting kaitiakitanga of taonga, both in museums and private collections. As a curator of taonga Māori in a previous life she has published and written various articles about taonga Māori from an iwi Māori perspective. She lives and works in Wellington.
