Miriama Aoake (Ngaati Maahuta, Ngāti Hinerangi, Waikato-Tainui) is a writer, critic and postgraduate student in Māori Studies. Her dissertation focuses on the development on Mana Wāhine theory – from cosmogony through Indigenous futurism, contingent on the realisation of tino rangatiratanga.
