The Pantograph Punch Summer Internships
About the Internship
We’ve developed this programme for early-career writers and editors based in New Zealand who are looking to develop their skills and experience.
Successful applicants will work for a three-month period between January – March 2015. During this time, you’ll work as a section editor under an artform of your choosing (film, music, theatre, art, or literature) planning, assigning and editing articles and reviews under the mentorship of the site’s editors. As well as this, you’ll develop and write two feature articles, which will receive editorial guidance and be featured on the site.
The internships are worth $1000 each and will involve a commitment of approximately 6 hours a week (these hours are flexible and will be arranged with the editorial team).
Interns will receive:
- One-on-one professional development
- The opportunity to work with some of New Zealand’s upcoming and established literary talents
- A post-internship reference for job, scholarship or funding applications
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for interns who are passionate about the arts and who have excellent writing and editing skills. Familiarity with HTML5 would be helpful, but not essential.
