The Pantograph Presents: True or Troy?
We're kicking off our season of Subtexts at Q Theatre next week. The first is a live storytelling event that'll put your lie-detecting skills to the test: some of what you'll hear will be true, and some might not. We've also been working on a few twists for the evening, and this is a hint of what's in store (although I can't take credit for the concept: there's an amazing pub quiz in Manchester, held every Wednesday night in a Doctor Who-themed basement bar. It kills all other quizzes, and the True or Troy conceit is just one of many, many incredible categories from their set).
For more truths (but no Troys), come along to our event next Friday:
The first in a trilogy of events at Q Theatre, Based on a True Story invites you to put your lie-detecting skills to the test in an evening of half-truths, tall tales, and hand-to-heart facts. There will be prizes to be won!
Hosted by Thomas Sainsbury and featuring Antonia Prebble, Rochelle Bright, Jose Barbosa and Wallace Chapman, we'll be serving up stories that are true, some that are hard to believe, and some that will threaten to slip under your radar.
Tickets are $15 (or more, if you're feeling generous!) and are available here. If you book before Wednesday 5th August, you'll also go into the draw to win a $50 Unity Books voucher.
