Lillian Hanly has five siblings and three parents. She lives under Maungawhau in Tāmaki Makaurau. Currently she is working at 95bFM as the News and Editorial Director after volunteering there since 2014 while she completed her studies. She completed her Master's thesis in Media Studies on the politics of John Key's representation in the media at the University of Auckland. She wishes she still played piano and she'd like to make more films.
