Bronwyn Polaschek writes non-fiction about things she's interested in - feminism, popular culture, especially film and celebrity, as well as the experiences of mothering, teaching, and ordinary life. She is the author of 

and has published work about Amy Winehouse, solo mothers in NZ cinema, a beloved homemade teddy bear, and most recently in 

the ethical quandaries of buying a new velvet jumpsuit. Bronwyn is an English and Media Studies teacher at Onslow College. She is a member of Dirty Laundry collective. She lives with her husband and three children on a hill in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

Caitlin Rose Donnelly is a multidisciplinary artist based in rural Southland with her husband and two children. Her practice analyses being an estranged Māori, an adoptee, a mother, and a woman in traditionally male spaces. The whakataukī 'Ka mua, ka muri,' meaning we must look to the past to inform the future, centres her whakaaro and mahi. She works for her husband's farming business, Paemanu Ngāi Tahu Contemporary Visual Arts Charitable Trust and Blue Oyster Art Project Space. She is a member of Dirty Laundry Collective.

Cassie Ringland-Stewart is a poet whose writing often reflects her background in literary criticism. These days, you may find her in the cursed fairground of perimenopause, cortisol shooting from the top of her head like a crown, or slumped on the kitchen floor in the grey aftermath. Regardless, she runs the school-gate play-date gauntlet; keeps track of silk purse wishes on a sow's ear budget; & juggles categories that jostle & bleed into one another in a tustle that often leaves her feeling bleak and dizzy. Like the time, while waiting, inwardly frantic, for her first niece to be born, she worked on a 1000-piece 

jigsaw puzzle with her 6 year-old & it slowly dawned on her that there may be pieces missing... She is a member of the Dirty Laundry Collective.

Clare Luiten grew up running wild in the Far North of Aotearoa before training as a ballet and contemporary dancer. This mix of outdoors and focused awareness continues to weave their influences in Clare's current practices, centering on bodywork (Craniosacral therapy and Somatic Integration), and Contact Improvisation. She consciously embeds these practices into her parenting to enable her to remain resilient, and most of the time playful. Clare is influenced by her family, the outdoors, her therapeutic work, and movement practices, creating a spiraling and supportive rhythm of rest, activity, community and solo time.

Dianna Thomson is a documentary style photographer who grew up in Whakatū Nelson, now based in Te Awa Kairangi Lower Hutt, Wellington. She likes pushing the boundaries of traditional family photography into the realm of documentary. She is intrigued by capturing and exploring relationships as they unfold before her. She is always seeking for the moments in between moments.

Hana Carpenter has Scottish, Irish and Danish ancestry. She was born in Te Kuiti, Aotearoa. She lives in Tāmaki Makaurau with her partner Samuel and their children. She has been a finalist in the Parkin Drawing Prize, the Wellington Regional Arts Awards, the Walker and Hall Waiheke Art Awards, the NZ Painting and Printmaking Awards and the Wallace Awards. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Elam, Auckland University, and exhibits in Tāmaki Makaurau and Pōneke. She is a member of the Dirty Laundry Collective.

 (2017) and her essays and reviews are widely published. In 2022 she graduated with a PhD in Creative Writing from the International Institute of Modern Letters at Te Herenga Waka (VUW), with a creative nonfiction thesis about the experience of having a family member in prison. Holly also works in a government agency managing a climate strategy team. She lives in Te Awa Kairangi Lower Hutt with her partner and two daughters. She is a member of the Dirty Laundry Collective.

Johanna Mechen works with stills, moving image and poetry in the telling of personal, ecological, historical and cultural stories. These stories explore the relationship between modalities of lens-based making and performativity in research collection, often asking groups or individuals to play a role by participating or collaborating in her storytelling. She looks in particular at how time investment through volunteering and labouring can enrich artistic investigation and make connections within communities. 

Her work comes from a meditation on the medium and its multifaceted nature, as well as a desire to extend photography's ability to communicate lived experience and invisible stories both through and beyond its many processes. 

She completed a Master of Fine Arts program at Massey University Wellington in 2014 and her practice has included exhibiting, curating, writing and teaching photography. She is currently a PhD candidate at Massey University Wellington where she is making an essay film on the lived experience and transitionality of motherhood in the liminal time of Covid. She lives in the Hutt Valley with her partner and two teenage children.

Kate Stevens West (Kāi Tahu, Pākehā) is an artist who mostly draws and paints, but she does love scissors and the way they slide through the contents of the recycling bin. Her practice revolves around family, those long gone, and those still at her feet. After a long stretch pouring energy into her four children, she started to make work, pushing through the barriers of being untrained, time-poor, and afraid of being laughed at. Stevens West has quickly built up a body of work, now in public and private collections, having participated in several group exhibitions in Dunedin and Wellington. Recent work explores Kāi Tahutaka, working with historical research, traditional paints and pigments. Her solo exhibition 

was held at Bowen Galleries in 2023. She is a member of the Dirty Laundry Collective.

Philippa Doyle (Pākehā - nō Netherlands, nō Northern Ireland) lives in Northland, Te Ahumairangi, Te Whanganui-a-Tara with her family. She is a Textile Artist, mother of three adult children, a volunteer for Good Bitches Bake, a soup maker for those having a tough time, a recovering Public Servant and an adoptee. Philippa uses textiles as a way of marking both the small and the big events of life - all significant in their own way.

Her work is a tangible way of making unseen and fleeting moments visible and enduring. She has been working on her craft / art for over 50 years, working predominantly in stitched works and quilts. Recent work has been exhibited at Coffee Conversations, Coridore Gallery, Wilton (2022), Fiesta NZ Quilt Symposium (2022) and Changing Threads, Contemporary Fibre Art Awards, Nelson (2019 & 2018).

Rachel Rucktuhl-Mann's roots are in Te Waipounamu (Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe, Kāi Tahu, Rangitāne). Her work dances in the space between visual arts, performance and participatory processes, and soft sculpture, as activations of intimacy, and invitational experiences of being-as-community. In 2023, Rachel - as Whānui Moves - organised and facilitated three versions of Camp Move Play - and intergenerational camp of movement, environment and community. She also produced, designed and performed in two versions of Hine Downtown - a walking performance exploring urban spaces through the lens of a contemporary urban Kāi Tahu māmā. She is a member of the Dirty Laundry Collective.

Zoe Thompson-Moore/piecewerk (Pākehā) lives in Te Awakairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt with her family. An artist around the block, she can usually be found in the backyard gleaning inspiration from the loose-parts-play of neighbourhood kids and tending the beloved community compost heap. She is a member of the Dirty Laundry Collective.
